So Much to do...so little time!

I am working on the clinical assessment for ergonomics. Whew! I think I bit off more than I can chew. With so many good things to read, I feel like I need to dissect it all first before I can pull the assessment together. I will bring to class what I have been learning. What do you think proper ergonomics would look like cleaning this guy's teeth?

  1. I think the hard thing about ergonomics is that not everyone is the same - just like your friend in the wheelchair. Some people have restricted movement of their head and neck, while some are bound to a wheelchair. If we humans were all the same size, shape, etc. - then ergonomic protocols would be a cake walk - right?!

  2. I think Cooke makes a good point.
Your protocol for ergonomic will probably need to be quite basic, and will most likely be quite subjective for grading. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! This is one thing I feel students and seasoned clinicians alike can always use help with.

You'll be pleased to know that we have found a place to put Ergonomics back into the curriculum. I would like to work with you to incorporate your ideas into the plan
